Importing Keys

When importing a key, it is possible to import a key with a duplicate name. This will be corrected in the final release of the product.

Secret Message Screen

The secret message text box should have a scroll bar on the right hand side. This will be corrected in the final release of the product. Update: Corrected V 0.00.34

On Line Help

DataHush currently does not have an on-line windows help file. Update: Corrected V 0.00.22

Logo lost during installation

The logo disappears when the welcome panel is shown on the Setup screen. This will be corrected in the final release of the product. Update: Corrected V 0.00.10

Cutting and pasting can be a chore…

Cutting and pasting From/To the secret message window can be confusing. The copy button only places the text on the clipboard as text. Other windows programs default to a different format, and hence you sometimes end up pasting old data from another program.

Enhancement - Cut/Paste directly to/from file.

The program should have buttons that allow direct cutting and pasting from/to files.

Enhancement - Password Lists

Provision should be made to store passwords as used to encrypt notes. During use, it may be that many different passwords are used, and it would be helpful if the program could store these with a note as to the usage of the password.

Enhancement - Log on as different user.

DataHush has a built in Administration ID that is required for setting up users and re-running the setup routine. This is not the ID that should be in normal use. In order to logon as a different user, you currently need to exit and re-start the program. The program should offer an option to re-logon as a different user. Update: This was corrected in Version 0.00.10, but removed for security reasons. The 'Lock' function was used to change Ids, but this had a security impact that was unfavourable.
